What We Collect

Anonymous Usage Analytics

If you opt in during the onboarding process, we collect anonymous usage data to understand how the app is used and improve it. This includes:

• App launches and session information
• Feature usage (e.g., generating beats, using the pattern editor)
• Which AI model you select (not API keys)
• General interaction patterns

What We DO NOT Collect

• API Keys - Your OpenAI, Anthropic, or other API keys are never transmitted to us
• MIDI Content - The actual drum patterns you create are never sent to us
• Chat Content - Your prompts and conversations with the AI stay local
• Personal Information - No names, emails, or identifying information
• File System Data - We don't access or track your files

How We Use This Data

We use anonymous analytics solely to:

• Understand which features are most useful
• Identify and fix issues
• Prioritize development of new features
• Make the app better for everyone

Your Control

Analytics are opt-in. During onboarding, you can choose whether to share anonymous usage data. You can also change this setting at any time in the app settings.

If you choose not to share analytics, the app works exactly the same - we simply won't receive any usage data from your installation.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage statistics. Google's privacy policy can be found at policies.google.com/privacy.

AI Providers

When you use Vibe Drummer, your prompts are sent directly to your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Ollama) using your own API key. We do not act as an intermediary - your data goes directly from your computer to the AI provider. Please review the privacy policies of your chosen AI provider.

Website Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics to understand visitor traffic. This is standard web analytics that tracks page views, referral sources, and general engagement. No personal information is collected.

Data Storage

All your creative work (drum patterns, chat history, settings) is stored locally on your computer. We have no access to this data.
